Hyper-focus on Grades at the expense of critical thinking: Learning has become a transactional, rote-memorization exercise
Neglect of developing “Good People”, not just “Good Students”: Education systems undervalue critical soft skills, empathy, and personal development

It started in Hong Kong's classrooms. We kept meeting these incredible students, but their spark was being buried under the constant pressure to perform. The system was built on exams and rankings, and somewhere in all that noise, the simple human need for connection and guidance got lost. We realized the most important thing they were missing wasn't on any syllabus: it was a mentor who actually cared.
For us, true education was always about forging stronger kids, not just higher scores. It's about that light in their eyes when curiosity is sparked, and the set of their shoulders when they face a challenge with confidence. That's the core of everything we've built.

Haven was built on a simple idea: learning should feel like a spark, not a chore. In a world obsessed with metrics, we choose laughter. We choose stories. We choose the messy, human connection that turns a lesson into a memory. We're not here to produce perfect test-takers; we're here to nurture confident, curious people who love to learn.
Our teaching style is been molded by years of experience and advice from pedagogical experts from top schools:

Fostering critical thinking through open dialogue of thought-provoking topics through the Harkness Method

Making complex ideas vivid, relatable, and unforgettable through the ABT Framework

Connecting students with mentorsand exposing them to differentmodes of thinking using Kram’s four-stage theory
Our team is built on a simple, shared promise: to show up fully for every student. We bring different energies - some of us are calm guides, others are inspiring coaches - but we are united by a belief that education, at its best, is a deeply human act of listening, encouraging, and growing together.
